the English lane (le chemin des Anglais : to the left of the exit at " L'Eau-forte ")

A steep path leads to a superb look-out point on the main road wich waves its way up into the dense, green vegetation upon leaving the middle of the bay. The higher one climbs the more spectacular the vieuws of the sea and bay become. And if the sea is calm little fishing boats can be seen floating an the deep blue waters amongst a myriad of white ripples.

Those who are lucky enough may catch a glimse of a chameleon perched on a branch or mbling along the path. Hoxever it si more likely to spot the small, bright red cardinal birds, a long tailed white tropical bird : " le pailleen queue " ot the famous green lizard of Manapany, a unique protected species.
