To make a garment, there are several steps and different techniques.
First, the stylist will make a sketch in order to make a garment look more real, it's important to draw a silhouette. Secondly, the designer will take measurements that will need an essential sewing kit.
In the sewing kit there are: pins, needles, a thimble, a measuring tape, a tracing wheel,a dressmaker’s model, scissors, thread, an iron, a sewing machine.
After, the pattern is made, using white kraft paper, a chalk pencil to trace the pattern of the garment and the caster pattern allows the pattern to cut straight .
Then the designer chooses fabrics and colors based on the sketch, cuts the fabrics in the shape of the pattern but with a margin of about three to five centimeters or more.
To assemble the fabrics on the sewing mannequin, the stylist and designer will work clothes pinned to the seamstress to pass a sewing machine.
Next, the stylist and designer mold directly on a human model to adjust the fabrics to the desired shapes. Then comes the official fitting compared to the sketch.
