TEXT:

This picture is a representation of a two point perspective which is used for design in architecture. A two point perspective is a type of linear perspective, all categories of linear perspective include an horizon line which is the most distant line marking the junction of earth and sky, and a stationary point, the position of the observer.
The system of two point perspective means representing three dimensional objects and space on a two dimensional surface.
In linear perspective, the point on the horizon line at which line or edges that are parallel, appear to converge is the vanishing point. We use two vanishing points when we look at an object or a building from the corner.
The horizontal lines of the two visible sides from the object or building go towards two different vanishing points, one vanishing point for each side.
The vertical lines remain parallel.

VOCABULARY:

A two point perspective = une perspective à deux point de fuite.
Linear perspective = Perspective linéaire.
Horizon line = ligne d'horizon (limite ciel et terre).
Stationary point = Point de position de l'observateur.
Vanishing point = Point de fuite
